Engaged? Then you definitely need to consider having an Anacortes engagement session! There are lots of amazing places to shoot, the area is peaceful, and it’s worth the drive. Just make sure you plan for traffic! Get there early. Settle in, relax, and prep for your session. Whether that’s having a drink, sitting in your car with the heat on blast, or just catching your breath after the drive… take your time and get situated.
For this engagement session in Anacortes, we had only about 20 minutes to shoot because they got caught in Boeing traffic, but I gave them some direction just prior to shooting and we very quickly worked to capture that golden hour magic all while the FREEZING cold wind was ripping with 40+ MPH gusts.
Thankfully, Becca + Shawn are troopers.
Next month, they’ll be having a Hollywood Schoolhouse wedding in Woodinville… all with the comfort of a nice, heated indoor location. After nearly becoming snow-people for their engagement session in Anacortes, I’m sure the change of pace will be a welcomed one.
Nonetheless, I absolutely love this gem of a location. I will be here, cold, wind, rain, sleet or snow.
