Let’s just start this out by saying I LOVE Whistler. And I truly mean that. I grew up in Vancouver, BC, and Whistler has a special place in my heart. It is a true pleasure to say that I love being considered a local Whistler wedding photographer.  Even though I am based in Seattle, Whistler still feels like it’s right in my backyard.

Whistler is one of the most beautiful places for a wedding.

Yes, I might be biased on that, but I truly believe it. How amazing would it be to take the gondola up during the summer and capture some wedding portraits on the side of the mountain? How awesome would it be to be getting ready with everyone and have a pool party at your cabin, golf at a world-class course, and end your night at a dance club in Whistler Village? Uhmm… how about completely awesome.

Man, all this talk about Whistler just makes me want to go back.

Can you imagine getting married on Blackcomb? Or at Nicklaus North?

I am very thankful and proud to announce that the beautiful wedding I photographed in Whistler, British Columbia, Canada is now live on SeattleBrideMag.com!  You can find the link here: http://seattlebridemag.com/real-weddings/scenic-british-columbia-destination-wedding to read about their wedding day.  From their beautiful resort-hotel at Crystal Lodge, family-made bouquets, Jack Nicklaus North Golf Club ceremony & reception, and the immense amount of fun everyone had — it truly was amazing to be a part of it. If I could photograph weddings in this part of the world every day, I would be one happy Whistler wedding photographer.

For this particular wedding with ‘Taige & Tyler, we started the day getting ready in two different hotels in Whistler Village on a warm, summer day. (This wedding was one of my very first, in fact! Years ago!) Then did some group portraits out in the streets at the base of Blackcomb.  The bride’s sister hand-made the bouquet’s the morning of the wedding, hair & makeup was done by themselves, and the dresses were all from Anthropologie BHLDN. They kept a lot of this wedding to DIY elements to keep their budget down, but they didn’t really care about those things anyways. All they cared about was getting married to each other and spending their day with their closest friends and family. This Whistler wedding had the perfect temperature, the perfect ambiance, and everybody had such a fantastic time.

Enough from me, though! Keep scrolling and check out their Whistler wedding day highlights!
