Volunteer Park Conservatory Engagement Session | Abrey & Elliot

Volunteer Park Conservatory greenhouse engagement session

Quite often, couples inquire with me about photographing their Volunteer Park Conservatory engagement session somewhere nearby Seattle (where they live).  That said, most couples who book their wedding with me are adventurous and want something captured off in the gorgeous PNW wilderness.  The few who want something urban (and I’m totally game for it) want something convenient to them.

In the Seattle metropolis area, it’s increasingly busy and filled with both locals and tourists alike.

It’s my strong recommendation to every couple that the location be peaceful, intimate, and a reflection of your own personality.  After learning more about Abrey & Elliott’s wishes for their engagement session style, we narrowed it down to photographing at the Volunteer Park Conservatory located in Capitol Hill. It was our little escape from the hustle & bustle of the city and into a beautifully lit area in the middle of the harsh daylight outside. It was wonderful!

One thing about this little location — it became incredibly popular soon after we were there, and now they are no longer making themselves available for sessions like these.  Too many photographers took advantage of the space and didn’t treat it with respect (super unfortunately).

I am so glad to have had the opportunity to have photographed there prior to the revoking of public access.
