Seattle Wedding Transportation Tips

Okay, let’s talk Seattle wedding transportation tips for a second, shall we?

I’ve seen it all. The good, bad, and the ugly. I’ve seen wedding parties all comfortably hop into a stretch limo or party bus, and I’ve seen wedding parties all try to navigate them hopping into their own cars and battling traffic, stressing out, and being unable to find parking… which makes them late for the portrait session.

The transportation at your wedding is incredibly important to the efficiency of your event in Seattle. There are unlimited uses for transportation at these celebrations, from moving the wedding party to providing shuttle service for out of town guests as a courtesy. Regardless of what you’re specifically looking for, here are some tips you can keep in mind when you’re looking to hire a Limo Service Seattle.

Look Early

If you’re looking to get the most affordable transportation for your Seattle wedding, it’s important to start looking as soon as you’ve nailed down your venue. The earlier the better, because you will be able to lock down the current rate in case they increase prices through the following months. Plus, transportation companies often base pricing off of demand, and when wedding season comes around, things get crazy busy! Booking as early as possible will put you in the clear and check a vendor decision off of the list of things to do.

Take Advantage of Wedding Packages

Another cost saving measure you can take is to ask potential transportation companies if they have any type of wedding package available for purchase. These are more affordable because they use fewer hours than a standard rental. This is suitable for couples who only need transportation from the ceremony to the picture destinations, and back to the reception with the wedding party. They can often include extras like champagne toasts and decorations if that’s something that you’re interested in.

Size Up

It’s always a good idea to consider reserving a larger vehicle than what you will need. I say this because the sizing standards are set by the state department of transportation, and they allow about 12 inches per “person” as a guideline. Unless you’re an adolescent, you’re most likely going to take up more space than that, especially with ballroom style gowns. You definitely don’t want to be crammed into your wedding vehicle, and this even truer if you’re planning a summer wedding. It can get uncomfortable quickly! It’s also a good idea to consider inviting your photographer or videographer on board the vehicle so you can capture all of the small moments that happen in between destinations. For all of these reasons, it a good idea to size up! With ample space on board, you will be able to socialize and enjoy your wedding to the fullest.

Just remember, it’s best to be comfortable and stress-free on your wedding day.

So, if you are going to be having an urban wedding — do yourself a big favor and hire the right wedding transportation. Personally, I’ve worked fairly often with Party Bus Seattle and they’ve done an outstanding job. Check them out.
