The day before the elopement between Kelly & Danielle, Haley and I were in Cancun, Mexico on my way back from from a destination wedding at Moon Palace. It was a long day of traveling, and when we got back to our home late into the night around 2:00am, I started charging my batteries, prepping my gear, and getting ready for my time with this sweet couple.
From the moment I arrived at Treehouse Point to photograph their wedding elopement in the trees, I knew this was going to be special. Emotions were high between these two gorgeous brides and they could not help but to laugh, smile, and dance their way in front of the camera.
Of course, they mentioned what every other couple mentions to me, “We are a bit camera shy.” I replied, “Not to worry!! It’ll be fun, laid back, and I’ll get you lots of amazing images along the way.” — And that’s exactly what happened.
We joked around for the next couple of hours together, and we all had an incredible time in the forest, splashing around in the water, and hanging out in their treehouse.
If you are searching for one of the West Coast’s most unique elopement locations, make sure you visit Treehouse Point just like Kelly & Danielle did. They made the trek all the way out from Michigan!
Thank you again, you two. You are an absolutely incredible couple, and I am very fortunate to have been your photographer. Thank you for being a #LumaCouple!
