I’M KYLE. PHOTOGRAPHER & CALVIN & HOBBES FAN SINCE '85
Hey! Welcome to my blog! As a Seattle, Snohomish, and Woodinville, Whidbey Island, and destination wedding photographer, I do my very best to provide as many articles and other pieces of information to provide as much value to you as I can. Browse around, have a look, and let me know your questions! My wife, Haley, and I are always here to help. We are so happy you are here, and we can't wait to chat with you about your wedding day!
How cool would it be to get married on a boat? I mean COME ON. With the Waterways Cruises & Events company, you totally can! That’s what Justin & Alandrea did. And it was super cool.
They got ready at the Hotel Ballard (in Ballard, WA – duh), and then some quick portraits near the Ballard Locks. It was an amazing time of year for it, but because of that – the tourists were everywhere! I even had to use Alandrea & Justin’s bodies to block some tourists in the background in a few photos. I bet you can’t tell which images! 🙂
The trees around the Ballard Locks were super pretty, too. Lots of vibrant color, and it was really great to play with a little bit of sun flare.
Before we knew it, we were boarding the boat and getting ready for launch! HOW FUN! Talk about a unique wedding venue. Yes, it can be a little bit tight (depending on how many guests you have), but if an intimate wedding is what you are wanting… and if you are a water lover… then you really do have to check this out. The views are incredible (obviously), and you are out there with your best friends and family just puttering along while you have an incredible meal and some tasty drinks to wash it all down.
So, if you are thinking about getting married while on a cruise, just floating around Lake Union and Lake Washington – visit the Waterways Cruises website. And if you are searching for a Seattle wedding photographer – well, you know who to come to. 😉
Enough from me, though. Have a look through Alandrea & Justin’s gorgeous wedding day on Lake Union aboard the Waterways Cruises & Events vessel. Pretty amazing.
These last couple of photos are straight out of camera. It’s always fun to through in a bit of that fine art photography background I have at weddings.
Maybe boats aren’t your thing, though. You might want to check out some other Seattle wedding venues like:
Just click on any of those links, and it’ll bring you straight to the highlights from other weddings that I have photographed at those locations. All awesome. All different. And as always, let me know if you have any questions about anything at all.
