When thinking about the most beautiful, scenic wedding venues within easy driving distance from Seattle and the Greater Puget Sound – I always think of the Woodinville Lavender Farm. And because this wedding venue in Woodinville, WA is so incredibly popular, couples must typically book it very far in advance. And for this particular couple below (Bobbi & Will), they booked it two years before their big day just to ensure that they got the date they wanted at the venue they fell in love with.

And while this particular blog post doesn’t showcase their entire wedding day, these sneak peeks were just too gorgeous to wait for the full blog post.

Their wedding was in the middle of summer and the heat was a record day, putting the mid-day sun in the mid-90’s.  And here in the PNW, you know that heat is the type that you just want to douse your entire body in ice-cold water, drink a frozen margarita, and then float down the river in those gigantic unicorn floaties. Am I right, or am I right?

I photographed their entire wedding day right on the venue grounds. Their getting ready, their first-look, and their golden-hour portraits as seen below.

• First and foremost: Lavender. I love everything about it. I am even wearing my lavender aromatherapy bracelet as I type out this blog.
• Location. It’s close driving distance to most major cities on the west side of the mountains.
• Wine. It’s right in the heart of wine country in Woodinville, WA
• Smells: The swirling breeze picks up that natural lavender smell and it’s every bit as calming and peaceful as you would imagine.
• Photogenic: Be in Woodinville, but get photographed as if you were in France or Italy.
• Budget: What would seem to be an expensive venue is quite affordable when considering how gorgeous everything is.
• Attitude: When you are looking for the decadent vibe but without the sassy attitudes.

Not only is the wedding venue in itself gorgeous… but smelling the lavender as a slight breeze swirls around the property when you are spending time with your closest friends and family… I mean, how could it really get any better, more peaceful, more intimate, and more lovely?
