There are a LOT of beautiful wedding venues around downtown Seattle. LOTS. But the Axis Pioneer Square wedding venue has a certain charm to it that is rather distinguishable compared to all the others.
The brick walls, the grittiness of Pioneer Square, and the coziness of the environment makes it for a truly special wedding venue – especially with a stormy day like Kate & Reed’s wedding day!
They both got ready at the Thompson Hotel in downtown Seattle by Pike Place Market. The rooms there are gorgeous, and they really flood with beautiful natural light. Especially Kate’s room! Stunning. I think the staff must know something about the best rooms for the bride, because I’ve been in this exact room a few times now… 🙂
You gotta check out Reed’s sneakers he had on the morning of the wedding, too! Talk about style! How awesome would that be if he had those on with his tux, am I right??
Kate’s beautiful bridesmaids were all wearing green velvet dresses, and the men were looking dapper in matching tuxes. Classic & timeless. I dig the approach to their style.
Can we also quickly talk about how gorgeous this couple is? I mean, come on. As if the Axis Pioneer Square wedding venue isn’t awesome enough, this couple is amazing. They were both so laid back on their wedding day, and their butterflies showed through their skin as they got ready early in the day. It was beautiful. It was moments like these that make me cherish the fact that I am a wedding photographer in Seattle, Snohomish, and all the other cities that are known for weddings around these parts.
Axis Pioneer Square is definitely one of the top 10 venues in Seattle, I’d have to say. Just my personal choice, is all. Who knows what my tastes might change to next year! Haha.
Enough from me, though. Check out their amazing day at the Axis Pioneer Square wedding venue. Rain, wind, freezing cold, and all.

Getting ready at the Thompson Hotel
Stunning! Am I right, or am I right?
Their first look was in a cafe! They opened it up just for us.
One of my favorite photos from their wedding day hanging out in Pioneer Square.
I told you we had rain and freezing temperatures, right? These Occidental Square portraits are the epidemy to PNW fall weather.
That loving, wedding day smile.
Floral game on point.
Their ceremony setup at Axis Pioneer Square! Super well done.
T-minus 5 minutes.
