That you want to learn more about
Seattle, washington
Sitting atop Magnolia on one of the most beautiful bluffs in Seattle, this historic property (turned wedding venue) is one of the most picturesque choices for your big day. After all, you'll be able to see the Seattle skyline, the water, and even Mount Rainier!
Since 2014, The Admirals House has won countless awards, and because it can accommodate up to 250 of your closest friends and family - it's not only gorgeous, it's also incredibly versatile. For a full look into the venue, make sure to click the link below!
Fremont, washington
If you're looking for an industrial wedding venue in Seattle, Fremont Foundry is going to be on your short list. It's spacious, but can feel a little closed off if you are having a large wedding due to the walls that can separate you from you from some of your guests. That said, you can choose from either a rooftop ceremony (weather permitting) or the indoor location as seen here.
Visit the full write-up over this unique and industrial venue through the link below!
Pioneer Square, washington
Similarly to Fremont Foundry, Axis Pioneer Square has brick walls, is industrial, and accommodates a similar number of guests. The main difference between the two is that your ceremony site does not include a rooftop here, and the only outdoor area at Axis is the alleyway behind the venue. But a big pro is the proximity to a super popular portrait location for Seattle weddings - Occidental Square.

Lake Union, washington
When looking for an intimate wedding venue in Seattle, don't overlook the Waterways Cruises wedding cruise! I mean come on - how much more unique can you get? And when you're limiting your guest count to those who can (literally) cruise around Lake Union with you for your wedding day, you're also simplifying all the logistics that come with it all. All the beautiful views, the PNW smells, and the intimate experience.
To see a real wedding aboard Waterways, look at my blog all about it.
SODO, washington
When you're wanting a large wedding and you're also wanting convenient parking - and a rustic wedding venue in Seattle... Sodo Park is what you've been searching for.
And for your portraits for your wedding day at Sodo Park, it's my recommendation that you either take your portraits in Occidental Square or head over to West Seattle and hop into the forest. For a full look into this beautiful (and ultra popular) location, check out the blog post!
downtown Seattle, washington
If you're wanting the NYC vibe of a wedding day without flying across the country, then the Fairmont Olympic Hotel wedding venue is for you. From getting ready in some of the most beautiful suites in downtown - to having a grand ceremony & reception... the Fairmont is beautiful.
Keep your logistics simple here. Get ready in a suite in the hotel, get your portraits taken outside and around the streets in downtown, then just hop straight back in for your ceremony and reception.
Seattle Waterfront, washington
Right on the waterfront, looking directly out to the Olympic Mountains - the view from the Edgewater is gorgeous. And with a separate area (that is indoors/outdoors) for your cocktail area, it allows for a simple "room flip" for your ceremony & reception.
And as far as portrait location recommendations for an Edgewater wedding, I highly recommend you stick with the Olympic Sculpture Park and/or the Cruise Terminal overlook depending on how much time you have set aside for your wedding photos.

Ballard, washington
Bring your Hamptons dreams to Ballard by having your wedding at Rays Boathouse. Your ceremony will be on the dock right next to the restaurant, and your cocktail hour and reception will be held in the building right on the water.
Catch the sunset, listen to the waves, have some delicious signature cocktails, and enjoy your intimate wedding at Rays. For a full insight into a real wedding day at this Ballard wedding venue, check out the blog post below.
Capitol Hill, Seattle
This hidden industrial gem is tucked away on the downtown side of Capitol Hill, accommodates up to 175 seated guests, and has 5,000 square feet for you to design your dream wedding day. And personally, one of my personal highlights working at the Melrose Market wedding venue was photographing a super energetic couple for their NYE bash.
Check out their NYE wedding at the Melrose Market wedding venue through the blog link here!
Downtown Seattle, washington
When looking for unique decadence for your wedding day design in downtown Seattle, look no further than the Arctic Club wedding venue. Just be prepared to have a lot of flash photography for your wedding day - because the ceremony & reception site (the same area) has zero windows. So, if you're a lover of those "fine art" light & airy photos, make sure to head outside for your first look and your wedding party photos before you head indoors for the rest of your luxurious downtown wedding day. To see a real wedding day at the Arctic Club, just click the link here.
A: Yep! There are quite a few of gorgeous wedding venues in downtown Seattle. So how would you go about choosing one? Well, I'd recommend to start with setting your budget. Downtown Seattle wedding venues can be notoriously more costly than outside-the-city venues, so - start with your finances. See what you can realistically afford without pushing your budget too far.
After all, your venue is only a portion of your overall wedding budget. You still need money left over for catering, photography, hair & makeup, decor, transportation, your honeymoon, and all the other awesome things. And once you've set your budget, start thinking about what fits the best with your personality, what's easiest for your guests to park at/near, and what's going to give you the wedding you've always dreamed about. Then after you've taken all of that into consideration, have a look at my personal favorite Seattle wedding venues that I've curated and listed below. I've already done the heavy lifting, and I have over a decade of experience behind my thoughts & opinions.
Bottom line, it really comes down to the aesthetic you want, the number of guests you truly want to have at your wedding, your budget, and the level of peace you want on your big day.
Of course, there are tons of variables when choosing the perfect venue in Seattle. And even though I'm not a wedding planner, I can certainly help you make the right decision. So, before you lock down a date, make sure you reach out to me for my honest and open opinion. I'm here for you as your resource. Let's do this thing. Together.
A: Yes, they definitely can. That said, there are ways to make things more financially possible. A big one being payment plans. But I must stress that you should not stretch your budget so far on a wedding venue that you can't afford the other things that mean a lot to you. If you really want one of the best Seattle wedding photographers, but your venue costs $20,000+, choosing a venue that is a few thousand less now opens up that extra budget for the photographer that you've always wanted. (Hint, hint). Personally, I got married away from the city for this reason - and to put more money towards our photographer, our honeymoon, and our house. (The things that truly mean the most to us outside of our families.)
And if you feel like Seattle wedding venues are stretching you so far, you should also consider getting married in areas like Snohomish, Whidbey Island, Orcas Island, San Juan Island, or Eastern Washington. There are many, many gorgeous wedding venues in Washington State. There's no shortage. And I can certainly help point you in the right direction if you are wanting some help finding the right wedding venue for you, your personality, and your budget.
