When it comes to engagement sessions in the Pacific Northwest, there are many locations that come to mind for everybody… but there are only a handful that are left which not many people know about. So, if you are here to learn about where this exact location is, you won’t learn about it here. If you want to shoot here, make sure you book me for your engagement session 😉 These epic desert engagement photos are nearly untouched, and that’s what makes it so special.
What I can say is that this location is in Eastern Washington, and a very, very long drive away from Seattle. And every mile was absolutely worth it.
When this couple, Morgan & Jon, started to chat with me about their wedding day and how important their engagement session was to them… I immediately started discussing my highest-tier engagement session. Not because I just wanted them to book my biggest package, but because I truly and genuinely knew this was going to be exactly what they were hoping for. A peaceful setting, a unique environment, and a long session to capture a LOT of amazing photographs together.
Morgan and I kept in touch during the couple of months prior to their engagement session and went back-and-forth to plan everything out. We talked about the smoke bombs, their outfits, and exactly what time to meet and where. We left no detail out – all for the pursuit of the best photographs possible.
I used to offer a “mini” engagement session when a couple booked me for 8 hours of coverage or more, but I’ve since gotten rid of that entirely. I’ve done that so I can better serve every #LumaCouple with every engagement session. I don’t want anyone feeling rushed, and all of my ideal couples value photography – so why would they ever even want a mini session?
When their epic desert engagement session finally came, the wind was blowing fiercely and the sun was out in full force. We used both to our full advantage to capture some truly beautiful images for their lifelong memories.
Epic engagement sessions are definitely my favorite. For couples that are wanting truly unique imagery that will quite literally last your entire lifetime (and beyond), I cannot recommend these epic engagement sessions enough.
