If you have ever considered having a Spring wedding in the Pacific Northwest (especially Greater Seattle), it’s important to have both Plan A and Plan B for your portrait locations. Plan A will be for the best weather you can imagine for the time of year and Plan B is stormy, gloomy, blustery, rainy, and … well… the traditional Spring weather that Seattle brings. Fortunately, Seattle has some amazing options – so keep scrolling down and check out Brittney & Dan’s gorgeous wedding photos from their day at the Fremont Foundry wedding venue.
The day Brittney & Dan got married, the weather forecast called for rain, then sun, then clouds, then everything in reverse as the days drew nearer. Basically, a typical forecast for the area. It’s nearly impossible to plan a wedding based on the weather in the PNW during this time of year. Heck, let’s just call it impossible. Because at least with that, you can plan accordingly. 🙂
Their day began at the Hyatt in downtown Seattle where they got ready in two different rooms on floors right above/beneath each other (smart!), and that’s where we also flew on a whim to have their first look. There’s a beautiful area right up front that has a glass covering that makes for beautiful urban portraits.
So, that’s exactly what we did. And it turned out beautifully.
And as always, the Fremont Foundry wedding venue in the Fremont neighborhood of Seattle was as gorgeous as ever. It’s industrial, modern, simplistic, and a crazy mix of being dark and being light all at the same time.
Enough from me, though. I know you’re here to see their photos. So, let’s get straight to it. Keep scrolling to see Brittney & Dan’s highlights.
So as you can see, the weather ended up turning out really nice! It was yet another crazy weather pattern in Seattle. Go figure! It just added to their wedding story at the Fremont Foundry in Seattle.
The moral of the story: Go with the flow with your wedding day weather. It’s so important to just run with it. You will have an amazing day, you will get amazing photos, and yes – your hair and dress might get a little wet – but those memories and those photos are forever. You can always tweak your hair when you get to your venue. 🙂
