Finding a wedding venue around Seattle can be TOUGH, right? And that’s why getting married around the islands can be so appealing. Thankfully, Vashon Island has a couple really gorgeous wedding venues – and the Old Chaser Farm wedding & event venue is one of them!
They didn’t want any getting ready photos, and they went at their wedding day plans a bit non-traditional… which I absolutely loved. They simply wanted to have a beautiful, super tasty garden party with their closest friends and family, have a bonfire, and truly celebrate the way THEY wanted to celebrate. There wasn’t a wedding ceremony. There wasn’t a first look. It was just them, the chickens, an ox, and 60 of the people they love the most in the world.
If you’re wanting to stay close to Seattle to be convenient for most of your guests, that’s great. But if you realize you end up wanting something more laid back and a bit less traditional, the Vashon Island wedding venue at Old Chaser Farm might just be the ticket. Because with the short ferry ride, it really does feel like you are a million miles away. And that extra bit of seclusion and privacy is really amazing.
Just check out their photos from Old Chaser Farm below.
These chickens would not leave us alone – and I loved every moment of them clucking around.
Classic, timeless beauty.
When the house at Old Chaser Farm is pretty high end art deco, you have to get some art deco bridal portraits. Without a doubt.
Detail photos of your engagement rings are always one of the most important things to document.
Really wanting that gorgeous garden party? I couldn’t recommend farm tables highly enough! They are so wonderful, especially if you are planning family style meals where you can pass around bowls and plates of food amongst all of your guests. Plus, it photographs really well!
Doing a sparkler exit? Make sure to plan it 15 minutes before your wedding photographer takes off! It can take longer than you think to get everybody together, light those sparklers, and do a couple quick run throughs to make sure you get the photos you love!
