Recently, I had the pleasure of photographing this gorgeous Sentinel Hotel wedding between Fallon & Jorge. And if you are looking for an absolutely stunning wedding venue in downtown Portland, Oregon – then check out these wedding photos.
The day started off a little bit behind schedule, but that’s pretty normal of any wedding day. Nerves are high, every attempt is made to make the final details as perfect as they can be, and the final preparations are taken. Fallon and Jorge got ready in nearby rooms on the same floor, and their wedding parties were absolutely stunning. And talk about a HUGE wedding party!
They opted out of doing a first-look, which meant zero time for daylight portraits for the two of them together, but we made it work later in the evening on the rooftop of the Sentinel just outside of their hotel room… all lit by a fireplace under the stars. Magic, much?
The Sentinel Hotel in downtown Portland, Oregon makes for a beautiful day.
Just make sure that the wedding photographer you ultimately hire for your wedding at the Sentinel has experience working in dark, dimly lit venues and that you love their style for such locations. The Sentinel is one of the darkest venues available in the PNW since there are zero windows, and everything is 100% inside (unless you go outside for some portraits prior to sunset).
Another big perk of the Sentinel Hotel is that you are able to have a HUGE wedding with a lot of guests.
