If you are planning a wedding, then it is easy to get overwhelmed. You have to choose a dress, decorations, food and the cake. Some things are easy to forget about if your marriage ceremony and your wedding reception venues are not at the same location. Things like having to make sure your guest arrive safely between the two venues. Read on to find out tips for planning wedding day transportation.

Rent a Coach Bus Or Even a School Bus!

You can keep your bridal party and guests together by renting a coach bus. This vehicle is a more luxurious form of a bus. A coach bus can seat from 10 to 41 passengers, and the seats are usually plush and roomy.  It is also a more affordable transportation method because you only have one vehicle to transport everyone. You will spend less per passenger as well.

The bride and groom usually have a schedule of events, such as taking pictures and making outfit changes. These events may cause you to make stops in different locations. Renting a coach bus allows your wedding party to move as a group. It also prevents your guests from getting lost and being late to the reception.

Book a Hotel with Shuttle Service

Many couples choose a hotel for guests who are attending their wedding. It helps to choose one that offers complimentary shuttle services to nearby wedding venues. You can ask your wedding venue or call around to hotels in the area to see who offers these services.

Rent a Car

If you are the getting married, then you and your husband are going to need transportation each of your venues. You have the option of driving your own vehicle. However, it is common for brides and grooms to rent a luxury vehicle and arrive in style to the reception in a Bentley or Rolls Royce. Or why not go for an Italian sportscar while you’re at it. My car of choice? Lamborghini. You can also rent cars to transport your wedding party, but if you have a big wedding party, I’d recommend you keep everyone together and go for a party bus or limo for ease of logistics.

Get a Limo

A limousine is a good option when you have a small number of guests who need transportation. This vehicle comes in different styles, such as the Lincoln Navigator, Escalade, Hummer and Chrysler 300. A limo can seat from 6 to 20 passengers depending on the type of vehicle. Renting a limo is one of the ways to reward your guests who made the trip from out of town.

Make a Plan to Prevent Mishaps

The reception is one of the best things about a wedding. However, you have to make it to the reception on time to enjoy the festivities. It helps to plan months in advance to prevent any mishaps. That means deciding on the mode of transportation for getting guests to your wedding.

Six months before your wedding you should decide on what vehicles you want to use. It is also a good idea to book your car reservation in person. Making reservations in person gives you the opportunity to see the vehicles. You can’t see the vehicle when booking online. If you wait too long to make the reservations then your guests may not have a ride come the big day. A plan makes sure that everyone has a ride and on arrives on time. Have a backup transportation plan in place in case something goes wrong. This will ensure that you have a wonderful wedding day.

Your wedding day is one of those milestone moments. Most couples want this moment to be special. Unfortunately, things do not always go as plan. It is easy to forget travel accommodations when you are involved in a million other wedding details. Making arrangements in advance can help your wedding turn out as you dream it should.
