A Tour Through the Alderbrook Resort Wedding Venue in Union, WA

Although I haven’t officially photographed a wedding here yet, I could only imagine how gorgeous an Alderbrook Resort wedding would be. And boy, would it ever be gorgeous.

My wife, Haley, and I took a quick trip down for a single night at Alderbook just for a getaway. And not only did we have an incredibly relaxing time, the drive itself was beautiful. It wasn’t too far, yet it was just far enough away from the hustle and bustle of Seattle to feel like we were totally away on vacation. It was really ideal.

When we checked in, all we wanted to do was relax. So, I went straight for the bar and ordered an old fashioned, and she ordered a lemon martini. But then came the food menu… and we had to try a little bit of everything. And surprisingly (to be honest) … the food was some of the best “hotel food” that I have ever had in Washington State. In my experience, hotel food really isn’t all that good… but this was incredible. And I wish I had a bottomless stomach.

We spent the rest of the evening doing something we never do. Relax. Do nothing. And it was every bit as wonderful as we had imagined. It was bliss. Nothing is everything. Ahhhhh peace.

So, the following morning I wanted to document where we were and capture this little bit of time. And I wanted to think about this very blog post to show to couples who are interested in having an Alderbook Resort wedding. And you bet your bottom dollar that I would absolutely love to be your wedding photographer.
