After all of the Seattle weddings that I have photographed, there is one that always stands out to me. One that is more unique, more peaceful, more traditional, and more amazing. That would be the Villa Academy wedding venue. I’m not paid to say this. I just truly think it’s gorgeous. Maybe it’s because I’m drawn to the European flair, but regardless… it’s incredible.
Yes, it doesn’t have a reception site there, but with a wedding ceremony site this beautiful — who cares.
Tucked into Seattle just north of Lake Union, it’s a location not many people even know exist — even locals. But that’s also a huge benefit, I feel.
With its old-school charm and European vibe, it was perfect for Aurelie & Alejandro. Straight from Europe themselves, it was the perfect fit between their worlds.
Brick architecture, old-growth trees, and a current school that runs really makes this venue super unique all across Western Washington. So, if you are looking to get married in a church around Seattle but don’t want to go the typical church-route, this is definitely an amazing option for you. And one that I think you should seriously consider.
From a photography standpoint, it’s incredible. There are a lot of large windows, and a lot of open, peaceful spaces that make for incredible imagery. It’s typically a thing that gets overlooked when booking a ceremony site, and at the Villa Academy wedding venue in Seattle, it’s perfect. Truly.
