When I heard that Lynzie & Austin were having their wedding day on her parents gorgeous property on a HUGE acreage, I knew they were the right couple for me. I got excited to hear their wedding day details, and making the drive all the way out to Tenino, WA for their wedding was no problem… especially also considering that they ended up hiring my lovely wife, Haley, to be their day-of wedding coordinator. And to add the Gold Creek Pond engagement session? Yes, please.

So, let’s get back to it, shall we? There’s just way too much to share about Lynzie & Austin’s Gold Creek Pond engagement session.
They knew they wanted something rural since they are “country” at heart, and we went back-and-forth with a few different options until we found a location that really suited what they were looking for.
Where should we go for a rural engagement session with awesome views?
Enter, having a Gold Creek Pond engagement session.
It’s a bit of a drive out into the Snoqualmie Pass area, but if you’re wanting a healthy combination of mountains, valleys, water, and forest, it pretty much has everything.
If you are considering the location, though… just beware of the mosquitoes (bring repellent!!) and be aware of the distance it takes to get to some of the photography locations that the pond has to offer. Lynzie & Austin’s session was an hour, but it took us longer than that considering all the walking around the trail. Not to worry, though… it’s a stunning walk.
From the pond itself to the wildflowers, to the forest… it’s beautiful.
Gold Creek Pond is beautiful. Just get ready for a bit of a walk if you are wanting to make the full loop.
The loop itself takes around an hour. Could be faster if you are a fast walker, but it’s about that. And this place can SWARM with bugs in summer & fall. So, be careful of that, too.
