When searching around for wedding venues in Snohomish County or wedding venues in Skagit County, there’s one place that isn’t heard of a lot, but it’s certainly one to keep in mind if your budget is tight. Nature’s Connection Place.
I had the opportunity to photograph an intimate wedding there towards the end of 2016 and it was very peaceful – secluded away from the rest of the world. The property sits on a large piece of land that is well manicured. There is a house on the property that belongs to the venue owners, and the building is divided into their own personal residence and the area for bride and grooms to get ready… or in this case, bride and bride.
I’ve photographed a few LGBT weddings over the years, and it’s amazing that Washington State has made it legal to get married to the same-sex. Erika + Katie are a beautiful couple, and there love for each other was very apparent throughout their wedding day. They wore it on their sleeve.
The Nature’s Connection Place wedding venue isn’t for the brides who want to be pampered with ultra luxury high-end style. That said, it is for the couples who are very laid back and want that “home” cozy feel on their wedding day. And I think it’s exactly those types of couples that book this venue over and over again.
There is no indoor ceremony or reception site at this venue, so in case the PNW shows its stormy side – all you’ll have is a large covered wedding tent. It rained on Erika + Katie’s day, and it didn’t slow them down. Especially when they used the space heaters.
They were so kind, thoughtful and sweet on their wedding day to me. It’s attitudes that I remember most out of all the wedding day details – and theirs made me feel like we were all instant friends. I’m so thankful to them for that, and I always will be. I love making these sorts of connections with couple’s that I photograph.
They’re much more than just clients.
Below, check out the photographs from their day at the Nature’s Connection Place wedding venue. Let me know what you think and if you have any questions. I am always here to help.
