The Cedarbook Lodge wedding venue & hotel was perfect for Archana & Pradeep.

Quite a few Indian weddings that I have photographed over the years have been huge and multi-day. Around Seattle, I’ve also found that there are the more “Westernized” versions of Indian weddings – at least the ones that I personally photograph. This Cedarbook Lodge wedding was still just as beautiful. Still just as colorful & vibrant. Their wedding day just had fewer guests and bit fewer details – because that’s exactly what they wanted.

Regarding the venue itself (Cedarbrook Lodge) it worked quite well for this particular wedding venue.  Just make sure that you are having enough guests to fill the large reception space in the downstairs area where dinner & dancing is held!  This wedding had about 50 guests and the reception space felt sparse. Archana and Pradeep were so amazing. So friendly. So genuine and kind.  It was a true pleasure to be their photographer.

They both got ready in the hotel (super convenient) in different rooms, and had their first-look right out on the back lawn. Everything about their wedding day was really laid back. They had their closest friends and family with them throughout the day, and it was just as they had envisioned it to be. For them, it was perfect. And this is why I personally feel it’s so important to have a talented wedding planner on your side, and why I think that Amber Sooter did such a wonderful job with their wedding day at the Cedarbrook Lodge wedding venue and hotel.

Make sure you also check out Sarahenna for your Indian henna needs! She’s incredible and I can’t recommend her highly enough. A true talent. While she didn’t personally attend the Cedarbrook Lodge wedding day, the henna held overnight perfectly. And if you reach out to her, let her know that I sent you her way! She’s so sweet.
