The Lairmont Manor wedding venue in Bellingham, WA is outstanding. Personally, nothing else quite jumps out on top of my mind when I think of an Italian-style venue in the PNW… and this place is quite amazing.
It’s settled back amongst a traditional neighborhood, but the grounds are so large that you feel like you’re out there on your own – well, you and your 200 closest friends.

According to their website, if you are looking for an indoor-outdoor combo wedding (which most PNW couples are), it states you can have up to 250 guests! That’s huge! Personally, I had 120 guests at my wedding. I don’t even know if I would even want 250 people around me on my wedding day. Ha! 🙂
The grounds around Lairmont Manor are impeccable, too. It really allows for a wide variety of portrait locations, various lighting scenarios, and the ability to photograph at high-noon or during the traditional golden-hour in the evening. Totally your call. For Karin & Richard’s wedding day, we spent about 45 minutes walking the whole grounds and took portraits inside, outside, and had a lot of fun with it. It was a SUPER warm summer day, so we escaped off into the shade as often as possible.
At Lairmont Manor, the interior of the manor has vaulted ceilings, a huge fireplace, and a wall of floor-to-ceiling windows to boot. Yet another great place for portraits – especially when you’re wanting to achieve some European flair to the vibe of your images. And I highly recommend you do! This place is way too gorgeous to not utilize it to its full potential.
When I photographed Karin & Richard’s wedding day at Lairmont Manor, they got ready on-site, but they really wanted to make sure we visited a really unique spot in Bellingham – the ivy heart. And it was freaking awesome! Check out the photographs from their wedding day below. I think my favorite images were the portraits we captured off in downtown Bellingham in front of the ivy heart. (HOW UNIQUE IS THAT?!)
