Old Chaser Farm Wedding Venue on Vashon Island

Only two days ago, I had the sincere pleasure of photographing an intimate celebration between Victoria & Paul at the Old Chaser Farm on Vashon Island.

The Old Chaser Farm wedding venue on Vashon Island is one for the books. Personally, I may be completely biased because I love taking ferries over for weddings because it feels more like a true destination wedding, but it’s simply stunning. The property sits on what feels like a couple dozen acres, it’s incredibly private & secluded, and the birds chirping makes for some incredible ambiance as you set up for your wedding day.

The interior of the house isn’t like any traditional wedding venue. It’s a house. Or an art gallery. Or a combination of the two because this house is filled with both modern and traditional art, right down to the furniture and light fixtures.

When you are enjoying your time outside for your reception, not only are you enjoying an amazing time with friends and family, but it really makes you fall in love with the “island” vibe of living. Even though Old Chaser Farm is located on Vashon Island near Seattle, you don’t feel anywhere near the city… and I think that’s perfect.

I had the opportunity (and pleasure) of photographing Victoria & Paul’s wedding at the Old Chaser Farm, and they went about it a bit non-traditionally. They had their ceremony the day PRIOR to when they wanted me to photograph their celebration. They wanted a time where it’s just their closest friends and family, and have a very private moment to themselves. It wasn’t until Saturday that they wanted me there to document their celebration with an absolutely, incredibly, amazingly delicious 6-star meal (had to rate it better than 5 stars) and plenty of alcohol to last the whole night. (Thank you, London Plane!) . You guys were amazing.
