The Monte Cristo Ballroom wedding venue in Everett is one of the most popular places to get married in Snohomish County. Period. It’s been around for so many years that I might even say that it is THE place to get married in Everett in general. And for Roxanne & Luke’s wedding day, it started there and it ended there… but not without a stop in the middle.
We drove from Everett to Duvall for their super intimate and emotional ceremony at the Holy Innocents Catholic church.
But let’s start at the beginning.
Luke and his groomsmen got ready in the top corner of the Monte Cristo Ballroom. And if you’ve been there before, you know it’s for sure a guys room. It’s has a TV, video games, arcade games, foosball, neon signs, all the ‘dude’ smells, you name it, it has it. It’s not your typical guys getting ready area when compared to other wedding venues, but that’s also the selling factor of this place for guys who are looking for that sort of vibe. It’super relaxed; very low key.
Another thing that makes the Monte Cristo Ballroom super popular is the fact that everything is indoors. And while so many #LumaBride’s over the years have had outdoor ceremonies and receptions, we do live in the good ‘ol Pacific Northwest. And with that comes the big unknown – if it’s going to rain or not. And that’s yet another great thing that this wedding venue has to offer. A dry ceremony. A dry reception. Nobody has to bring umbrellas.
And right outside of the building are a few different areas that you can use for portraits. There’s a brick wall in case you want a bit of the industrial grunge vibe, there’s a metal wall in case you want just the industrial vibe and keep it super clean, and then there’s a concrete wall that looks high-end and luxurious.
There’s all of it.
For Roxanne & Luke, it was a day filled with some logistics, but their attitudes were positive all day long, and the day was filled with nothing but love.
And one thing that really stood out to me that showed their true character and their true selflessness was the fact that they took a special moment out of their reception to stop the focus on them… and to instead focus the attention on one of their bridesmaids. One of their closest friends was having their birthday on their wedding day by total coincidence, and everybody in attendance stopped to sing happy birthday to her. Of course, she broke into tears of joy, and it was one of the most touching things that I have seen. They’re truly good people. And that’s always amazing to experience.
Enough from me, though.
Just make sure you reach out NOW! Even if that means reaching out before you have your wedding venue booked – because there’s only one of me, and I want to make sure that your date is available!
