When searching for wedding vendors in the lower mainland, BC, one particular search is near the top of being the most difficult – finding the best Vancouver wedding photographer within your budget!
When planning your wedding, you will quickly realize how fast your money can disappear – especially if your wedding has a lot of guests. Food alone can cost over $10,000-15,000 for larger weddings. All of a sudden, a photographer that is $3,000-6,000 doesn’t seem so expensive, especially considering the photographs are lasting an entire lifetime and the food is lasting about 60 minutes.
Personally, I grew up in West Vancouver in Caulfeild Village – playing around in Horseshoe Bay, Lighthouse Park, Dundarave, Grouse Mountain, and spent many days in Whistler and around the Sea-to-Sky Highway. Now, many of my close friends and family live in Yaletown, the West End, New Westminster, Burnaby, Surrey, Langley, and Vancouver Island.
There are countless Greater Vancouver wedding venues, and countless more Vancouver wedding photographers. Some are cheap, some are expensive. All of them have different styles and different approaches to photography in general. As most things go, the old adage is true – you get what you pay for. That said, and to be completely true, I have seen some wedding photographers charge more than $15,000+ for all-day coverage, and I have seen the same (or better) quality at a $5,000-7,500+ rate. Again, no two photographers are the same.
I will not say that I am the best Vancouver wedding photographer, but I will say that I have 10 years of experience, I am internationally awarded and recognized, I have been published by dozens of industry magazines, blogs, and websites, and I have 5-star reviews by every client I have ever worked with. One thing I can also say, is that I am the most honest, dedicated, and professional wedding photographer you will ever meet.
