Photographing this gorgeous engagement session in Anacortes, WA was stunning.
This session reminded me why I love fall engagement photos so much.
From the beach to the cliffs to the forest, this one had it all. And when the locations are so close to each other, you know you’re in the Pacific Northwest. And if you love traveling as much as me and my wife, it’s easy to forget how gorgeous the PNW truly is — until you go away from it. And every single time we come back, we’re dumbfounded. It’s so amazing here. And that’s exactly why we always want to live here. We truly think it’s one of the most beautiful places in the world, and it’s why I love capturing fall engagement photos compared to any other season.
During the fall, the colors of the foliage really comes out, the crowds die down a little bit, the light is even more golden warm, and the fact that this couple is gorgeous certainly didn’t hurt.
John & Ali, you guys are awesome. And I had a truly super fun time with you. I truly appreciate you entrusting me to be your engagement and wedding photographer. Did I mention Ali decided to change outfits half-way through and wear her moms wedding dress??? HOW AMAZING!!! Loved it. And with this backdrop, it really felt like we were capturing something really unique and film-inspired.
