Destination Weddings, Wedding Tips & Advice

Tropical Cruise Wedding Photographer

Cruise wedding photographer

Personally, I love cruises. Especially when they are filled with warm air on the top deck and you have everything catered for you. And on top of that, you have everything planned SUPER well for all your excursions. How crazy cool!!  At the time of writing this, I’ve never personally photographed a cruise wedding, but I definitely want to be considered your cruise wedding photographer.

After all, you aren’t going to want to hire the standard person that comes with the cruise. I wouldn’t want to, anyway. I’d want to hire someone with TONS of experience photographing destination weddings AND who also has tons of experience purely traveling. That way, everything is super common for that person and they know what to do on the fly should anything come up out of the blue.

Thinking about a destination cruise wedding? I want to be your cruise wedding photographer!!

Cruise wedding photographer Kyle Goldie of Luma WeddingsHow awesome would it be to have a tropical cruise wedding! Personally, I really wanted to do this for my very own wedding.  I even debated being a full-time destination cruise wedding photographer! Perma-vacationer? (Yes, please.)

The wedding is to be the happiest time of your life and the most important event that you will ever attend. There’s lots to do when planning a wedding.  You will find that there is a lot of things that you will need to do, such as, organizing, budgeting, hiring, and arranging everything like a madman. NO FUN!  Wedding planning can be very stressful. I don’t want that for you! Hop on a cruise. Set it and forget it.

Have you ever thought about an extraordinary idea like a cruise ship? This can be very convenient. You will find that the cruise line will take the time to organize the wedding so that you can have everything done for you. They will take care of the ceremony, reception, and even the honeymoon. They will make sure that your wedding is everything that you would ever want from the beginning to end.

You will also find that there are a lot of cruise lines that have had weddings on board. You will be able to allow them to take care of everything. If you think about it, a wedding planner is going to cost you a couple thousand. And they will take care of everything so that you can have a wonderful and impressive wedding on a ship for way less than what you would pay for a traditional wedding. You will also want to take in consideration that the prices will also include your honeymoon.

How many guests should you expect to have for your cruise wedding?

You should also not expect that all your guests will get a ticket and sail around the world with you, celebrating your wedding. Most cruise lines will allow you to have your guests on board for the wedding, but then they may leave before the ship sets out for its destination. They will allow the guests to have the ability to enjoy the wedding and the reception and then they will allow them to get off so that your guests don’t have to pay for the cruise or you don’t have to pay for the cruise. There are a lot of ships that will stay in port or they will go out in the water during the wedding. Some people will find difficulties because you need to stay in the country’s territory or on international waters so that you don’t run into any legal problems with your marriage.

The cruise lines will do everything in their capabilities to get the wedding going smoothly. Most cruise lines offer wedding packages at very reasonable prices. You will want to do some research on the following lines: Carnival Cruises, Princess Cruises, and Disney cruise. With the Princess cruises, you will be able to get a package that will allow you to feel like a Princess and your groom a prince before and after the wedding. They will have romance in the air by getting a string of instruments, decorate with flowers, and add candles for added romance. This is a wedding that you’ll never forget and none of your guests will forget.

I love cruises. After I proposed to my wife in Puerto Rico, we hopped on a week-long adventure.

We then went on what I call our “proposalmoon” through 6 islands throughout the Caribbean on a Carnival Cruise ship.  Whatever island you are thinking about for your wedding, let me know about it and I am happy to lend my advice. I’ve said it before and I will say it again. I want to be your cruise wedding photographer! Let’s make it happen.

In the meantime, have a look at some of the destination weddings that I’ve photographed. Sure, they aren’t from your cruise wedding photographer extraordinaire, but they are still super awesome. And I still definitely want to be there for your cruise wedding as you sail around the Caribbean, the Mediterranean, the Aegean, the Norweigan Fjords, or up to Alaska.

Even more awesome is that if you choose me as your cruise wedding photographer, my sweetheart wife, Haley Goldie of Luma & Lavender, will be by my side to help assist.
