The Elkins Resort on Priest Lake makes for a gorgeous wedding venue. Plain and simple. Period.
This Priest Lake wedding was stunning.
Picture this. You get married right on the beach, listening to the very light waves crash against the shore, and you are completely secluded away from the rest of civilization. You are there with your closest friends and family, and you are there focusing in on the things that matter and nothing else. And Megan & Ryan’s wedding was exactly that.
Their family and guests flew and drove in from nearly everywhere around the US. If I’m not mistaken, I don’t think anybody was from the area. But everybody made the trek to come out for their love story and to help them celebrate their wedding day on Priest Lake in a big way.
And as with all destination weddings, we arrived two days early to settle in, relax, re-energize, attend the rehearsal, help answer any questions, set expectations, and to help them mentally be at peace so they can fully be present on their wedding day. And as everything came together piece-by-piece, the puzzle came together. And everything was so on-track with the schedule that everything was smooth from one event to the next on their wedding day. Luckily, my wife was their wedding coordinator and she did an absolutely wonderful job. (There’s SO much that goes on, so many moving pieces, and she did amazingly well balancing it all. Great job, babe!)

Photographing this gorgeous wedding at Elkins Resort on Priest Lake, Idaho was just as beautiful as it looks in these wedding photos. Everybody had the right attitude as the clouds rolled in, and everybody was there for one reason – to see Megan & Ryan get married to each other. Everybody chipped in to help and everybody was present. It was perfect. And while no wedding is ever “perfect,” this wedding was as close to it as you can possibly think.
My wife, Haley Goldie, was the day-of wedding coordinator for this wedding – and I can’t begin to describe the quality of job that she always does for every single one of her clients. She’s having to handle hundreds of questions on the day and manage multiple moving pieces simultaneously.
