There are some really quaint & Arlington wedding venues. And the Stilly Brook Farm wedding venue is certainly one of them. So how can you choose between all the different options? Well, as the saying goes – a picture paints a thousand words. And below, I’m going to share with you the highlights from the fall wedding between Kaycee & Kevin.
Their day started a little bit late (it wouldn’t be a wedding if it was on time, right? – haha), but they had such a great, positive attitude about it all. Of course, nobody wants their wedding to have any hiccups, but some things are just out of your control and you just have to go with the flow to have the absolute best experience – and that’s exactly what they did.
From the super cozy grooms room (that totally feels like a mini cabin in the woods) to the spacious and peaceful grounds and the character-filled barn loft for the ceremony, it has everything you could need at a single location. I’ve photographed so many weddings over the years, and so many have wild and crazy logistics that just add stress to the day. There’s really no need for any of that.
With the Stilly Brook Farm wedding venue, you can legitimately just show up, get ready, get married, and have the day of your life. That simple.
And really, isn’t that the entire goal of planning a wedding? To be stress-free and to have a day with super easy logistics, so you can just focus on each other, your friends, your family, and just having FUN?
Oh, and did I mention that the first 2 hours into their wedding day coverage — it was absolutely POURING rain? Sure, it was October, but when it rains… you’re typically just SOL, right? Well, that’s where having a wedding venue with multiple outbuildings comes into play, having indoor areas with decent light, and having a photographer with experience.
And because I’ve been photographing Seattle weddings & Snohomish weddings for what seems like forever (over 10 years), rain legitimately doesn’t even phase me anymore.
“Oh, it’s raining? Well, let’s just go do ____, then _____, and as a backup we can just do _____.”
It’s legitimately that simple. Some people just overcomplicate it. And it’s not like we can reschedule their wedding day at Stilly Brook Farm, so let’s just go do the thing and make it gorgeous. Am I right?
And when you are planning your very own Arlington wedding, and you live in the gorgeous PNW, thinking about rain should be on your radar.
But when you have a venue that has outbuildings, awnings, gazebos, tree canopies, and other structures that can physically block that rain … it’s go time. 🙂
Kaycee & Kevin – you two are awesome. Your friends are a hoot. Thank you so much for having me as your Arlington wedding photographer! It’s basically my backyard, and I loved every single minute of it.
